Information and Resources for Students
AHEAD
AHEAD (the Association for Higher Education Access & Disability) is an independent non-profit organisation working to promote full access to, participation in, benefit from and contribution to third level education by people with disabilities in Ireland, North and South. It is a registered charity and is funded by the Higher Education Authority, by members' subscriptions (members include all third level institutions on the island of Ireland and students with disabilities) and through European Union funding. This is the primary organisation for students with disabilities studying at third level. It was funding from AHEAD that initiated the Text Access project. Their own website provides useful information, links, and publications. To obtain the most up to date copy of their Student Handbook contact them using the following information.
